St John's Ecofest
This year's Ecofestival which will be held on Sunday 15th June 2025 11.00am - 4.00pm
at St John's Church, Nevilles Cross.
We are looking forward to a day of music, stalls, speakers, food and fun welcoming the local community on the field and around the church and raising awareness of environmental and social justice issues. The theme this year is:

Permaculture Courses
Sat May 10th 9.30am to 4.30pm
Permaculture Principles (in person at Abundant Earth)
We will explore what a principle is and how they are universal in many disciplines, and how we define what a permaculture principle is. We will see where the principles can be seen in natural systems and the evolution of our understanding of these tools. This isn’t just the twelve principles that Holmgren focuses on but a broader deeper understanding of 23 principles from over forty permaculture teachers globally. We will see how the principles have been applied in our market garden and across our smallholding.

Design Skills (in person at Abundant Earth)
In this course focused on Design Skills you will learn about:

Systems Thinking with Amanda Woolley
Details are yet to be finalised but Amanda, an experienced systems thinking consultant, has offered to run a course here on systems thinking, which has had a massive influence on permaculture thinking for decades now. Whilst writing my permaculture principles book I did a bit of a deeper dive into systems thinking so I am super excited to be hosting this course.
