Climate Action Durham was formed in November  2019.

Initially we were a small group of like minded individuals but have grown with an increasing and active membership. We formed a not for profit company limited by guarantee, and are now converting to a Community Interest Company.

Climate Action Durham is not affiliated to a political party or religious group and it is independent in its decision making, policies and actions.

Climate Action Durham is registered with Friends of the Earth since February 2020 and is a part of Climate Action Network in the North East. We are in regular contact with the North East co-ordinator, based in Leeds and have access to their resources.
